I was looking to brush up on some P-chem and was able to find this edition for cheap. We used the Atkins P-Chem for my undergrad, and for me it is far superior to this book. I understand the scope of both macroscopic and microscopic physical chemistry is vast, but some subjects could have been explained in a more thorough manner. The thermodynamics sections were awful, if you haven't had courses in calculus based physics this book won't help you get through the questions at the end of the chapte...more
